Blå fugler - Albion 0-0 (0-0) 07/08

Hvem i alle dager skulle tro at Albion skulle spille 0-0.....

Cardiff fought out a stalemate with fellow FA Cup semi-finalists West Brom.

The Bluebirds created the first chance of the game when Paul Parry sent Steve Thompson clear but he blazed over.

Albion responded well and Glenn Loovens cleared Zoltan Gera's shot off the line before Ishmael Miller hit the angle with a fierce shot on the turn.

Only Carl Hoefkens' last-ditch block stopped Gavin Rae scoring for Cardiff but Roman Bednar missed a golden chance to give West Brom victory late on.

Cardiff City boss Dave Jones
"Both sets of players came out with a lot of credit. There was no quarter given from both sides.

"We both had a right good go at each other - there was good football and a lot of endeavour and commitment from both teams. I enjoyed the game."

West Brom manager Tony Mowbray:
"Numerically I thought we had a lot more chances than Cardiff.

"I thought it was a decent game and I think they probably had the best chance of the night - but we'll take that.

"We came here for three points. On the overall balance, I thought we deserved all three. But we'll take 0-0 and move on."
