Orange - Wolf killers 0-1 (0-0) 07/08

Yes yes yes. Top of league. Måtte det vare noen uker til

West Brom climbed to the top of the Championship thanks to Zoltan Gera's second-half winner against Wolves.

Gera sidefooted home Kevin Phillips' cross for the only goal, damaging Wolves' play-off hopes in the process.

Sylvan Ebanks-Blake went close for the hosts with a header and Gera thumped the woodwork in a pulsating encounter.

Michael Gray shinned the ball into the side-netting for Wolves and Seyi Olofinjana had their best chance in the dying seconds but headed wide.

Wolves manager Mick McCarthy:
"It was a terrific match with both sides going for it. I'm immensely proud of how we played the game.

"It can't hurt me as much as the fans but if we win the next four and get into the play-offs, no-one will care.

"I am bullish because we have played well over the last few weeks. A top-six finish is definitely on the cards and I am not being down."

West Brom manager Tony Mowbray:
"We've had a lot of games this season which we've dominated and lost so I'm reasonably happy.

"We're two points clear and it could be a lot more. Nobody will get carried away - I can assure you of that.

"We've got to go to Norwich on Saturday which will be our sixth game in 18 days and we need another performance."
